effective weight loss is in understanding calories

Many people say they have the answer for effective weight loss. What they really have are four easy payments of $19.95. People are so desperate for effective weight loss that the weight-loss industry is now a multi-billion dollar industry in the United States. Does anyone else see anything wrong with that? Since when is basic health and fitness a commodity that can be sold and bought? The good news? We don’t need them! There are several ways you can obtain effective weight loss without spend a lot of money.

The first key to effective weight loss is in understanding calories and balancing your calorie intake. If you eat more calories than you burn, you gain weight. But what if you burn more calories than you eat? Effective weight loss. I know that sounds like an oversimplification, but it’s core to any effective weight loss program.

If you are trying to accomplish a daily negative caloric intake, there’s only two ways to do this. Either decrease the amount of calories you ingest or increase the amount of calorie-burning activity in your day-to-day life. Obviously, for the most effective weight loss, you would want a combination of both.

So what should you do? The Internet is a virtually limitless source of calorie charts - both in the foods that you eat and in the activities that can burn them. Some calorie counts will surprise you: both for good and for bad. A diet rich in fat food can be well over three or even four thousand calories. And simply taking the stairs up two flights instead of taking the elevator can burn a hundred calories - practically for free.

The other key to effective weight loss is to treat it like a project. If you have a project at work or a home project, it has certain characteristics. A time frame. A commitment. A goal. A way to chart progress on your way towards that goat. If treating that sales presentation or basement remodeling is important enough to treat like a project, why isn’t your body and your health just as important? Keep a daily log of your calories. Make monthly goals. Keep track and reward yourself. Finding a structure is usually the most overlooked step towards effective weight loss.

So you don’t need to spend hundreds of dollars for effective weight loss. You just need two things: an understanding of what effective weight loss is and a framework in which to achieve effective weight loss.

Do You Have General Anxiety Disorder?

General Anxiety Disorder can be difficult to diagnose. It’s a loose and vaguely understood condition that many scientists and doctors disagree about. But it is serious and it definitely warrants your attention. People with General Anxiety Disorder experience a nearly constant and deep feeling of worry. This feeling of worry can be extreme and usually illogical and unwarranted for the situation.

Here are some symptoms that you might have General Anxiety Disorder. Worry about a number of things outside of your control or where there is no real need for worry. An unrealistic and disproportionate view on everyday problems. A magnified sense of uneasiness or anxiety. A feeling of irritability and tension. Muscle aches and tension. Headaches and nausea.

People with General Anxiety Disorder often have other socio-psychological disorders such as obsessive-compulsive disorder or manic-depressive disorder. They frequently battle with addiction and other self-harmful problems.

Experts disagree on the exact causes of General Anxiety Disorder, but most agree that there are three likely explanations. Some say that it is a genetic condition that is passed down through the family lineage. Others suggest that there is something in the chemical functioning and make-up of the brain and its neuro-transmitters that is out of balance, leading to the sense of worry. Others feel like environmental factors such as stress or trauma might trigger General Anxiety Disorder.

There are approximately 7 million people with General Anxiety Disorder. Nearly all of these cases are mild and can be controlled and treated and sometimes cured with a bit of self-help. A lot of it is common sense. Is there a particular set of circumstances that cause you such irrational worry? Perhaps you have an anxiety when it comes to finances. A financial planning service might go a long way in quelling your General Anxiety Disorder. Other things like planning de-stressing activities like exercise or a peaceful hobby might help reduce your General Anxiety Disorder.

However, if you find that your General Anxiety Disorder is interfering with your ability to conduct your day-to-day life, is damaging your interpersonal relationships or making work or school difficult, you might want to consult a physician. Most medical professionals won’t diagnose General Anxiety Disorder unless symptoms appear regularly over a six month span.

General Anxiety Disorder doesn’t need to take over your life. It isn’t a myth and it isn’t "all in your head". You can get the help you need or even give yourself the help you need!

Create Your Own Free Weight Loss Program

Pretty much everyone wants to lose a little weight. Look a little bit better in that dress or in a bathing suit. The weight loss industry is a multi-billion dollar a year industry and they offer all sorts of recipes, formulas, and products that "guarantee" weight loss. Results always vary. Instead of spending hundreds or thousands of dollars on these expensive programs, why not sign up for a free weight loss program - your own! It’s easier to create your own free weight loss program than you might think. In fact, if you follow these three steps, you’ll start seeing results from your free weight loss program in no time.

The first step in your free weight loss program is to understand calories. Most people tell you to "E & E" - exercise and eat sensibly. That’s true - but you need to understand why if you want your free weight loss program to be a success. If you want to lose weight, you need to burn more calories than you consume. That’s it. It has nothing to do with points or magic diets. Search online for calorie charts and find the right balance of activities and meals to make sure that at the end of the day, you had a negative calorie balance. The pounds will come right after.

The next step to really make this free weight loss program work for you is to turn it into a program. It’s not a hobby and it’s not a wish. It’s a program and there’s a couple of things that every program consists of. First, you commit to a program. So commit to your free weight less program. To help you do this, make it a schedule, keep the schedule. In your schedule, you need to do more than just block out time for exercise - you need to keep a log and set goals for yourself. Commit, keep a log and set goals. Now you have a program!

Finally, the most important step for your free weight loss program is to think positive. Remove words like “forbidden” or “can’t have” from your vocabulary. Of course you can have the chocolate cake a la mode, but you know that you can only have it if you burn those calories before or afterwards. Remember in that last step when I suggested goals? Celebrate your goals. Celebrate when you don’t reach them too. Why? Because you’ve made a commitment, not just to your program but yourself.

Follow these three steps and you’ll soon see that your free weight loss program will work better than any health plan that you have to pay for.
